Vita e eresie di un friulano geniale

Giorgio Mainerio, un misteri furlan

“Giorgio Mainerio, un misteri furlan. Vita e eresie di un friulano geniale”

An ARLeF – Agjenzie Regjonâl pe Lenghe Furlane and Mittelfest 2020 production.

Premiered on the 13th of September as the closing play of the 2020 edition of the Mittelfest festival,  settembre in prima assoluta, a chiusura dell’edizione 2020 del festival Mittelfest, the show traces the story of Giorgio Mainerio (Parma, 1535-Aquileia, 1582), musician, priest and, perhaps, necromancer. His figure is emblematic of the dark and visionary complexity of the Friuli of the XVI century, in which cultured and popular blend, thus enhancing the multilingual and multicultural context of our territory.

The show is a videoteatrical work, realized in various Friulian locations, where theater, music, dance and contemporaneity intertwine, to take “body” on stage only at the end, while the hexaphonic audio leads the spectator creating very particular sensory effects.

Duration: 58.24 min.
